Bhupendra Mishra

Bhupendra started his journey with the simple meditation “Isha Kriya” offered online by Sadhguru. The impact it created was enough to intrigue him and look for more.  He undertook one of the most comprehensive and internationally recognized 1750 hours of Isha Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in 2015, at Isha Foundation, Coimbatore, with a longing to impart Classical Hatha Yoga in its purity and profoundness so that others can also experience deeper dimensions of life. 

Also, He holds a Ph.D. from BITS PILANI, followed by a postdoctoral stint at the University of Groningen, Netherlands, and worked in Drug Discovery for 5 years at Zydus Cadila. He had a rewarding career, but the longing to pursue Yoga in its depth and sharing it with others was so strong that he made this transition to offer Classical Hatha Yoga as a full-time teacher.

After the training, he volunteered at the Isha Hatha School of Yoga for over 4 years, allowing him to spend time with the teachers, full-time volunteers, and Brahmacharis at Isha. 

Archana Mishra

Archana Mishra topped in her BA (Hons) & MA (Hons) batch and pursued civil services. Things changed for her when she completed her Inner Engineering in 2016 and realized the enormous impact the practice had on herself, particularly in her body and mind.

She took a break in 2017 and volunteered at the Isha Yoga Center for a few months. Spending those months in the ashram doing her Isha practices in a consecrated space became a huge turning point in her life. The experiences that she had, made her change the trajectory of her life and brought a dimensional shift in the way she looked at life. She learned a few hatha yoga practices just to be fit and soon realized they were so much more than just physical postures and the level of transformation they could bring about in a person was enormous. Inspired by the results, she joined the 21 weeks Isha Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in 2019 and since then she has been actively teaching in Gujarat.

After learning the Yogasanas course, I felt like a feather, as if I was not walking but a few inches above the ground. The unique feature about Isha Hatha Yoga is, it is designed so meticulously, that it covers all from standing to sitting and even inversion postures. I initially started with 1 and 3 cycles and gradually increased to 12 cycles. With every cycle, there is higher ease in the body and enhanced clarity in mind. The thoughts that would otherwise bother me throughout the day now naturally blow away. I feel very settled and relaxed after every Surya Kriya practice.

I have been practicing other schools of yoga for the last 15 years. But after doing Isha Hatha Yoga, I have observed the positive difference and balance on all levels within myself. In Surya Kriya, I struggled to pay attention to the body and mind at the same time. My job profile is sales and marketing and I travel on a daily basis. Even after long traveling or riding, I hardly get tired and I feel fresh and energetic throughout the day. Physically, I feel very flexible and healthy now. My mental strength has increased too, I experience less stress and stay calmer. I learned yogasana. It felt slow and seemingly simple but the effect it had on me was marvelous post the session. The intensity of doing that was amazing. After the program, you can practise on your own and need no equipment to do it. Bhupendra Anna has been extremely helpful - very cheerful person and always ready to help. Even learned Jalneti from him and it's been a year now since I had blocked nostrils.

We were exploring a training program for our employees from the Delhi office to help them manage stresses in their lives. We found an apt solution through the "Stress Management" program conducted by Isha Foundation. The program was a combination of theory and practice. Conducted over 2 days, this program covered 1. Stress management and work-life balance 2. Practice of Upa Yoga and Surya kriya 3. Guidance on diet The session was conducted in a very interactive way through videos by Sadhguru, practice under the guidance of the instructor followed by debriefing and Q&A. The program was received very well by employees. Many of them have adopted 'Surya-kriya' as a part of daily practice. We are thankful to Team Isha for conducting such a wonderful program. It was my first experience of yoga in any form and I am glad it was through our corporate program. Starting with Yoga Namaskar really felt as if a bottle of soda was opened inside me.
